Abstract: This presentation explains the minimum procedure to get AS# and start connecting with other ISPs with BGP4, and also explains some tips to configure CISCO's routers that might be deployed in many ISPs and the presenter has used. The example to be discussed is just the case of connecting directly with other ISPs, not connectiong with any IXs. Finally, in this presentaion, what is called "non-technical terms" are included, for example, the way of negotiations with ISPs you would like to connect and the application procedure to JPNIC you would need, that I think those are important but there are few documents to refer to them.
