Internet quality measurement ~ How about the current measurement method? ~
Abstract
Our company are required to maintain dynamically changing international Internet quality, especially Asia and China region. In order to implement countermeasures as necessary, quality is quantitatively acquired and analyzed. We are conducting full mesh quality measurement using instances of cloud in Asia. Generally speaking, good communication quality has the following meaning.
Short delay
low packet loss rate
High throughput capacity
It uses traditional Smokeping, but as the number of observation points increases, it becomes clear that there are various problems in the legacy method. In this program we would like to discuss best practices after sharing a quality measurement method and technical challenge for it, issues for securing the environment and some part of the measurement result.
