Traffic handling with QinQ <> VLAN converter server
Abstract:
SAKURA VPS which SAKURA Internet Inc. provides implements Layer2 local interconnect option with QinQ technology. On the implementation, we needed to transform a QinQ header to another arbitrary VLAN header to handle the interconnection to baremetal servers or the hybrid interconnection to expand layer2 network to other services. We have developed the Linux server which transform QinQ to VLAN mutually, and realized to transmit the customers' traffic.
We would like to share our experience and our operational knowledge of this QinQ to VLAN transformation servers. We will be happy to discuss about the further utilization of the service.
