Gotcha! Modern traffic visualization BoF
Abstract:
## At first
This BoF aims at sharing ingenuity and know-how on the way of using OSS, So we will exclude introduction of commercial products.
## Overview
In network operation, how to visualize traffic is an eternal challenge.
Recently, a lot of OSS can be used for the data collection and the visualization, but as the number of choices increases, the combination becomes enormous, I wonder if there are a lot of people learn by using the tools.
This BoF aims to introduce examples of traffic visualization by using OSS tools to each other and share the know-how.
keyword:
fluentd, logstash, kafka, hadoop/hive, presto, re:dash, Elasticsearch,
kibana, grafana (flow-tools, pmacct, fastnetmon)
## Assumed examples of traffic visualization
### Example: Visualization of netflow/sflow by OSS
For flow visualization, EFK structure (ElasticSearch + Fluentd + Kibana) can be used. So it is possible to build up operator friendly infrastructure that is common with other log monitoring.
Example: http://labs.gree.jp/blog/2015/12/15515/
I hope that participants can exchange information on traffic visualization by combining various OSS.
### About case introduction
I would like to invite the case introduction in advance widely and publicly.

## Finally
Visualization with a common framework makes it easier to link with other systems and can be used for automating network operation.
I hope to discuss about cooperation with other data sources such as utilization of GeoIP.
