Service providers provide contents from several servers to cope with increasing content traffic.
EDNS-client-subnet was proposed as a technology to choose a proper sending server.
Google public DNS(8.8.8.8), Amazon CloudFront and Akamai have already deployed it.
In
Japan, currently it's not paid much attention but it's a promising
technology to cope with increasing traffic so in this session we'd like
to share its current situation and discuss about its future trend.
P.S. At the time of application for this presentation, EDNS-clinet-subnet was a draft but recently approved as RFC7871.
