Zero Touch Provisioning

Abstract

Zero Touch Provisioning, which makes it easier to setup equipments in a remote location or in a large number, is realized with the use of DHCP or TFTP. For example, these days technologies such as PXE boot, which was developed by Intel, are implemented not only servers but also many network devices.

In this session, I'd like to share examples of implementation and explain latest trends of Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), ODL SNBI (SecureNetworkBootstrapping), and IETF ANMA(Autonomic Networking Integrated Model and Approach) and how they work by showing demonstrations. And I'd like to discuss about what measures operators or maintainance companies take for now and what problems they encounter.
