Are you pursuing operation automation? In JANOG Meeting, the number of "operation automation" programs has increased, and Hackathon is now being held.
Even our company has become more automated than the time introduced in JANOG39, for the considerable part.
However, that automation does not sound much in the company.
Why is that?
I thought it is perhaps managements are seeing "operation" is "a thing not producing money".
So I would like to discuss the following points with the attendees.
-How do you "appeal" the managers about operational works and lead to high evaluation?
-"Operational automation is devops", but it also means that there will be more systems to look after.
-Creating a new value with the extra "time" spared by automation: development of new service? Development of new tool?
-As a result, will "operators become developers"?
