Abstract
JANOG45 also announced a program to produce live programs on an IP basis. I would like to share my thoughts and experiences in the process of trying from a place where I have no knowledge. In particular multicast, but is likely to be shunned, was a convenience once grab a sense. In addition to multicast, I would like to introduce what we have learned in dealing with video.
- Video equipment I didn’t know
- I tried multicast, but it is convenient to understand (PIM-SSM and IGMPv3 mode)
- Various standards and products (SDI cable connectors and SMPTE)
- Product function trends that I felt
- It was hard to try PTP
