概要
In the 2nd year of Reiwa, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications [MIC] conducted a “Research and Study on regional IX / intensive ISPs for improving traffic distribution efficiency” by BBIX, Inc (implemented in Miyagi and Fukuoka prefectures), and Cable TV Co, Ltd (implemented area is Tochigi Prefecture).
Currently, in the world of the Internet, there are issues such as an increase in traffic and a concentration of upper line connection points in the Tokyo and Osaka area, which is particularly troublesome for local ISPs. We believe that some of these may be resolved by Regional IX.
Each implementing company will introduce a summary of the results, and the MIC will introduce the activities and measures, expectations for the companies in the future, etc. from the standpoint of the national government. We would like to discuss the challenges and possibilities of Regional IX.
