the structure of CDN

Abstract

After 15 years since its introduction, CDN has become responsible for the distribution of about half the Internet traffic. Although CDN is composed of cache and load sharing techniques, these techniques are part of a niche and sufficient elucidation about them does not exist.

Therefore, even though from a technological perspective CDN is currently part of a niche, for the Internet it is a hugely important piece of technology that we believe should have its foundations properly explained.
