A story of being route hijacked
Abstract
Recently the number of intentional prefix hijackings has been increasing. IIJ recently experienced an incident where one of our own prefixes was abusively announced by another ISP. From the results of the investigation I would like to present how the announcement was made and what success it achieved. I would also like to discuss cases of hijacking and the countermeasures that are being used.
