Title

TCP/IP Tutorial [Fundamental of TCP+UDP+ICMP/IP]

Presenter

Hiroshi Takada (Computer Engineering & Consulting, Ltd.)

Abstract

It is well-known fact that TCP/IP is a core protocol of the internet.
But we sometimes see the people talking about TCP/IP, but it includes other technical factors such as UDP and ICMP.
Is UDP and ICMP bonus of TCP/IP?
In comparison with TCP, UDP and the ICMP are not really treated as carefully.
That could be cause of DDOS UDP reflection attacks, also it could be a cause of filtering ICMP without consideration for its effect on network communication.

It is funny story but I saw a person who is say "we are using HTTP but we are not using TCP/IP".

This program explains fundamentals of TCP+UDP+ICMP/IP.
