Abstract

There have been many IPv6-related topics in JANOG, and I believe there are still many discussions going on.
Under such circumstances, LINE has also promoted IPv6 support as a project. And we have been changing components (network, servers, virtual infrastructure, applications, security) related to the communication application “LINE” to IPv4/IPv6 dual stack environment.
In this presentation, I would like to share an overview of the project, the challenges encountered and results obtained within the project, issues likely to arise in the future, and prospects, and discuss what hinders IPv6 support and what areas to pay attention to from the content providers’ perspective.
I would like to discuss the following three points through this presentation. “What motivates content providers to support IPv6 and what would make them want to support IPv6”, “How did they allocate IPv6 addresses”, and “What difficulties did they encounter in the IPv4/IPv6 dual stack environment and what difficulties are they facing now?”
