The session in English

JANOG50 will provide an opportunity to discuss in English as a special event, although in general the JANOG sessions are in Japanese.
This session aims to unveil some invaluable discussions at JANOG meetings and encourage more engineers and operators on the globe to have an interest on Japanese internet operations.

Message from the Executive Committee Chairs

We will hold the JANOG50 meeting from July 13th to 15th, 2022, in Hakodate, Japan.
This meeting is a discussion place for not only network operators but also people from a wide variety of professions can gather and discuss.

The theme of JANOG50 is “Change.”

Our lifestyle and workstyle were changed dramatically due to the COVID-19 pandemic two years ago.
Network technology has an important role in these changes.
And we believe that many things will continue changing in the future using network technologies.
On the other hand, some things won’t be changing or things that want to protect from changing in the future.
We hope you will actively discuss these various opinions in this meeting.

We are considering a system of participation and presentation utilizing both online and offline due to the remaining COVID-19 impact.

We, the JANOG50 Executive Committee, will keep it changing with the situation to maximize the power of this community.
And we would like to hold a meeting for everyone can be excited.

Also, we will continue to hold NETCON (NETwork troubleshooting CONtest) as we did the last JANOG49. Please join it!

Meeting registration

People for which the following apply will not be allowed to participate in the conference.

・If you are not feeling well (for example, if you have a fever, cough, sore throat, etc.)
・People who suspect that a family member or close acquaintance living with them is infected COVID-19
・People who have traveled to a country or region where the Japanese government has imposed entry restrictions or required a post-entry observation period within the past 14 days, or those who have had close contact with a resident of such a country or region
・People who are unable to comply with requests such as wearing a face mask at all times in the venue
*When entering the venue, you will be denied entry if a temperature check detects that your body temperature is 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher
It is recommended that the third dose of coronavirus vaccination be completed.
