In-house GameDay. Recommendations for training operation engineers

Abstract

Three years had passed since I joined the company, and the timing of team members’ return to their posts was concentrated, leaving us without an engineer who was proficient in the system.
Under such circumstances, we also had to take over a system that another team had due to a system change.
This time, we built a GameDay environment with IaC tools, and through the concepts of GameDay and chaos engineering, we tried to evaluate the handover in both a document and lecture-based format and a GameDay format.
