Efficient troubleshoot for nationwide telecom network with OSS-based fault tolerance simulation

Abstract

IGP metric design are very complex in nationwide telecommunication carriers network with hundreds of routers.
Wide variety of pattern of detour and fault makes harder to calculate designed route. Graph-related OSS succeeds to draw topology diagram with simulated result of expected route for failure from complex IGP design.
This enables efficient troubleshoot of traffic engineering with clarifying gap between designed path and actual path.
This session shows how to combine OSS software to achieve the simulation based on text parser for config analysis Textfsm, graph databases Neo4j and graph visualization Cytoscape.
