Traffic Engineering for Traffic Triggered by Major Events

Abstract

Changes in the Internet traffic are observed by the release of iOS7, and there are active posts on JANOG/NANOG lists about differences from the regular traffic patterns.

This session will have discussions on traffic engineering, as well as measures taken by CDNs, by taking a look into changes in traffic patterns triggered by major events such as;
iOS7 update, Windows update, Super Sale by Rakuten(*), AKB48 election.
