Between the Two Cultures - Network Enginees and Software Engineers -

Abstract

There are great differences between network engineers and software engineers in point of culture and way of thinking, even though they are the same "engineer". We would have various worries over software development and deployment for automation and sophistication in the field of network operation. Usual network providers would not have so many software engineers compared with content providers and it might cause difficulties with software development. To introduce the culture of software engineers understanding the culture of internet operation and finding out borderline that we can secure the quality of operation, we would like to discuss on experience and worries over such challenges.
