NETCONF/YANG

Abstract

There is active discussion about protocol data modeling by YANG in IETF NETMOD WG right now.
YANG is a next-generation network management protocol and a substitute for SNMP.
But we have to understand what the problem about SNMP is and what the NETCONF/YANG will change.

This session gives exposition of XML, NETCONF and then YANG, and some help for automating and standardizing network operation.
