Abustract

Previously, in a Segment Routing (SR) enabled network, in order to dynamically calculate a SR-TE path based on some constraint, for instance, IGP metric or link delay,
Path Computation Element (PCE), also known as SR controller, was required. But today, as the evolution of SR architecture, it becomes possible to calculate a SR-TE path without using PCE.
This situation brings the network operators to consider and compare which method is suitable for their network when they steer the traffic engineering in their network. In this session, we explain how to steer the SR-TE path both PCE-based architecture and PCE-less (controller-less) architecture,
and what we can do as of now. During the session, we hope to share your experience about how to steer a SR-TE path and what you face with among the audience.
