Activities for Introducing White Box Transport Network as a Network Operator

Abstract

NTT Communications is now working on investigating and developing an open transport network.

In this program, we will share the results of our evaluations of white box transport devices from a network operator’s point of view, including NOS, interoperability, and software for designing and controlling. We would like to share our opinions and have some discussions with attendees on the issues and plans for the business introduction of open transport network.

We will also introduce our activities in TIP(Telecom Infra Project), a community promoting open transport network, and in IGF(IOWN Global Forum), a community promoting IOWN, which white box network devices and technologies are part of its architecture.
