Leveraging IP Clos Fabric for 5GSA core implementation

Abstract

In this session, we discuss implementation of 5GSA core network using Clos IP Fabric developed by engineers with telecom backbone design experience.
Clos IP Fabric architecture was adopted for better scalability and efficiency while fulfilling numerous 5GC requirements.
Particular focus was given on topology considerations (Multi Tenancy, Redundancy, Expansion, Under/Overlay Protocols, Packet Steering, High Availability and Security) while designing the network architecture.
By sharing our experience which includes many challenges faced, we hope to initiate a discussion on features and future requirements for NW devices as well as appliances (CGN/FW) in the ever evolving 5GSA world.
