Abstract
IP networks are already defined as critical infrastructure, and the reporting of critical failures by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications is becoming more stringent.
On the other hand, the cost of infrastructure equipment is becoming cheaper and the complexity of fault isolation is increasing due to virtualization technology, and I feel that the number of critical failures is also increasing.
While there are many redundancy technologies available, it is necessary to have a loosely coupled architecture as much as possible.
In this session, we will introduce EVPN multi-homing technology and RFC8584, which improves DF selection methods, and discuss network operations, especially edge redundancy. We will also discuss network operations, especially edge redundancy.
