In JANOG42, we shared a case that allocated IPv4 addresses were about to transferred to other organizations and a case of suspicious BGP route advertisement, and discussed what kind of management is necessary for IPv4 addresses to be used safely.
Even now, three years after the last presentation, there are still cases where IPv4 addresses allocated/assigned are unknowingly used by others, and the methods seem to be getting more sophisticated.
In this presentation, we would like to discuss the countermeasures that should be taken at this time to overcome the threats and IP address resource management based on actual cases.
