Abstract

How do you monitor and manage the configuration of your network devices?
Monitoring of network equipment has become indispensable to detect and recover from failures as quickly as possible. In addition, version control of configuration is also necessary at sites where multiple people configure equipment.
In this presentation, we will introduce the NMS (Network Management System) that we actually introduced in the device verification environment (Lab environment) and explain the issues solved by the introduction, technical troubles encountered in the process of construction, and findings obtained.
The NMS introduced here is built around OSS, so it does not target only specific vendor equipment and is relatively easy to implement.
We hope that participants will share and discuss their approaches to monitoring and configuration management of network equipment.
