電電宮特集 Electric and Radiowave Shrine
電電宮とは？
みなさん、電電宮ってご存知ですか？電電宮は、観光名地でもある嵐山にある、虚空蔵法輪寺さんというお寺さんにある神社です。祀られている神様は、電電明神さまという電気・電波の神様。電気通信に関わるエンジニアであれば、一度はお参りしたい神社となっています。
Do you know the Den-den-gu(Electric and Radiowave Shrine)!? Den-den-gu is a shrine located near at a popular sightseeing neoborhood ‘Arashi-yama’ in Kyoto. Den-den-myojin, which is literally ‘Electric and Radiowave god’ enshrined this shrine, if you are NetEng or telecom related person, you better to visit there and pray for grateful acknowledgment that we can use electric and radiowave phenomenon! please beaware: Japanese shrines are consecrated place for locals, similar to church and mosque etc, and you know what does mean. Don’t mess with shrine, I am really serious.

there is a bunch of Japanese telecoms, ISPs, electric device vendors and telly stations name hanged on a contributors plate! You can use google lens for translation, some of the company name should ring bells to you!
電電宮へのアクセスの仕方！
電電宮へのアクセスは、渡月橋(京福嵐山本線 嵐山駅/通称 嵐電嵐山)もしくは、阪急嵐山駅(阪急嵐山線)から可能です。
You can visit Denden-gu from Togetsu-kyo bridge(very famous sight seeing spot, Keihuku Arashiyama a.k.a Randen-Arashiyama station nearby) or Hankyu-Arashiyama station.
渡月橋(京福嵐山本線 嵐山駅)から
まずは渡月橋を渡ります。 from Randen-Arashiyama, cross the Togetsu-kyo bridge.
橋を渡ると、渡月亭の隣に、「法輪寺」の看板が見えます。ここから登ることもできますが、左に曲がってしばらく歩くと、右側に表参道が見えます。 after crossed the bridge, you can see the 「一三まいり」sign and climb steps from here to access, or you can turn left, then after a little walk to main entrance on the right.
阪急嵐山駅(阪急嵐山線)から
阪急嵐山駅からは、看板の「法輪寺」に従って歩きます。 from Hankyu-Arashiyama station, you can follow the sign ‘Horinji Temple’
ミニストップの横の道を歩いて行きます。 go ahead this road
ここを右に曲がります。 turn right on this corner
左側に正門が見えて来ました。 you can see the main entrance of the temple on the left
お守りもあります
電電宮には、各種お守りもあります。 if you are interested an ammulet, they even has an SD card!
micro SDカードには、虚空蔵菩薩さまの画像も入っているんですって。

また、京都には電電建築も多数あります。特に見逃せないのが、旧京都電電ビル西館と、京都中央電話局西陣分局ですね。 here’s some histrical Telco COs in the Kyoto, very epic ones I hereby introduce:

電話局の写真館の記事が詳しいです。烏丸御池駅からすぐです。
京都中央電話局西陣分局
僕が気になっているのは西陣別館（こちらも電話局の写真館が詳しいです）なのですが、、、google mapで見ると工事中！？スタッフのgoeさんに見に行ってもらったところ、まだ工事中。工事は令和7年まで続く模様です。今行っても勇姿は見れませ〜ん！！ただ、エピックな獅子像は健在の様子です。
